Stephen King is himself a Lotr fan I think he mentions it in all the revised versions/introductions of the Dark Tower books and talks of how he strived to make his universe different from that of of Tolkiens which is why it is such a brilliant and long series of Goo, detailed and enjoyable books and stands at least a couple of leagues ahead of many other fantasy and should share the glory and praise Tolkeins series has recieved or even that which the Harry potter series has recieved.

Im currently on book 6 and look forward to book VII when im done this image has got me all craving the Dark Tower cool art I think Ill maybe have a go at this ^^
